Shetland’s Community Directory brings together information about Shetland’s community groups and organisations, as well as local services that contribute to making Shetland the vibrant place it is.

The purpose is to provide an online resource for people and those working in services to easily and quickly find and share information on local services, groups and supports across our communities. These include: youth groups, sports groups, community development organisations, community councils and halls, alongside services from the Third Sector, Council, NHS and others.

It has been established and funded by NHS Shetland Health Improvement, Shetland Islands Council, Shetland’s Integrated Joint Board and Voluntary Action Shetland, alongside the Scottish Government’s Islands Cost Crisis Emergency Fund.

The Directory uses ALISS (A Local Information System for Scotland)to gather and share the information available on this site; resources that you find are added and edited by people within our communities. If you cannot find the contact information you are looking for, you can add it to the system through ALISS.
