The Scottish Child Law Centre (SCLC) provide free and confidential legal advice about Scots law relating to children and young people. Every advice request we receive is answered by a qualified solicitor.
We’re here to protect children’s rights in lots of different life situations. This includes, education, additional support needs, health, residence, youth offending, accessing records, confidentiality, social work and children’s rights. Children and young people under 21 can get in touch, as can family members, carers and professionals who support them.
Our e-mail advice service is open from Monday to Friday from 9am–4pm. For free legal advice, please complete the Free Legal Advice Services Referral Form on our website. Please note that the enquiry form will only be accessible during these opening hours, meaning you can contact us only within that timeframe.
