RNIB, the Royal National Institute of Blind People, is the UK's leading sight loss charity. RNIB Scotland works on behalf of all people in Scotland with sight loss.
We provide free specialist advice and resources for professionals working with children and young people with vision impairment, from birth to age 25, and their families. This includes professionals supporting children and young people with Additional Support Needs in education.
We offer:
- Education resources and guidance to support best practice as set out in planning through the Curriculum Framework for children and young people with Vision Impairment (CFVI)
- Development and training for education professionals
- QTVI led information and advice for individual education queries
- News and discussions on best-practice through the VI Forum
- Information on teaching and learning, exams and assistive technology
