Haggeye

Provided by RNIB Scotland (Royal National Institute for Blind People)

RNIB, the Royal National Institute of Blind People, is the UK's leading sight loss charity. RNIB Scotland works on behalf of all people in Scotland with sight loss.

Haggeye is RNIB Scotland's youth forum that gives young people with sight loss a voice. Haggeye is open to young people aged 16-27 who are blind or partially sighted and living in Scotland.

Our members work together to help create a society where sight loss is not a barrier to living life to the full.

Haggeye provides a friendly and supportive environment which allows young people to raise awareness of what it's like to be blind or partially sighted in Scotland today and what's important to them. The forum enables its members to:

  • Campaign for change
  • Influence the provision of services
  • Meet new people and make new friends
  • Discuss and share issues of concern with them

Haggeye meetings take place fortnightly online and we have a number of in-person meetings a year.
