NHS waiting times and private treatment prices in Scotland

ScotWaits covers 17 specialties across all 14 territorial NHS Scotland health boards. For each one it shows the current NHS waiting time — both the wait to see a consultant and the wait for treatment afterwards — alongside typical private self-pay prices at Scottish hospitals. It also shows how many people are on the list at your board, whether the wait is getting longer or shorter over time, and where your own wait sits compared with everyone else's. Waiting times for MRI, CT and ultrasound scans are included, with what those cost privately — paying for a scan is often a far cheaper decision than paying for an operation, and it is one many people don't realise is available. Figures come from Public Health Scotland and from hospitals' own published price lists. It is free, needs no account, and is not medical or financial advice.
