Our Sunshine Coaches are valuable community assets, opening up a world of opportunities, enabling tens of thousands of children to access life-changing experiences every day.
Our coaches give children the opportunity to explore places they would otherwise never visit, experience different learning environments and gain life skills outside of the classroom – all while supporting their physical, social and language development.
How are Sunshine Coaches funded?
Each coach represents a team fundraising effort between the school or organisation, Variety and our corporate and individual sponsors. The beneficiary school or organisation generally funds around 35% of the cost of their coach through a one-off donation, while Variety’s donors subsidise the remaining 65%.
How do we apply for a Sunshine Coach?
If you are a SEND school or non-profit organisation, you can apply for a Sunshine Coach at any time simply by completing the online eligibility check.
