Provided by The Period Place
For so long, periods have been shrouded in secrecy, with most cultures treating it as a taboo topic. This natural phenomenon often arises with a plethora of physical, emotional, and mental health issues; some of these issues include depression and anxiety that overlap with premenstrual syndrome (PMS). The inability to afford or access menstrual products can lead to missed school days, lowered self-esteem, and hindered opportunities for these young individuals. To help combat this issue, we are embarking on this charity walk to create a positive impact in our community.
