Music therapy offers a safe space for our participants to have a chance to explore and express themselves through creative means, as well as supporting them to reach their individual therapeutic aims or goals. In the sessions, there are opportunities for exploring and playing a wide range of instruments, creating sounds and music through different media, and building meaningful connections and relationships with others.
In Music and Imagery sessions, participants focus on the experience that emerges while actively listening to music. This allows them to travel deeper into their consciousness and can help participants to, for example, gain a deeper understanding of self (personal growth), manage anxiety, and increase resilience.
Singing for lung health sessions are singing sessions designed specifically to help improve breathing for people living with breathing difficulties or experiencing breathlessness, using appropriate warm-up exercises and singing.
